Lifting Magnets – RLT

RTL series lifting magnets are suitable to handle different types of flat steel objects such as slab, block, billet, and plate. The magnet coil winds in different options, could be Al/Cu Strip conductor which is insulated by fibreglass cover or Al/Cu Foil Conductor with Mica insulation paper and in special cases can be finished by an Anodized Aluminium Strip conductor. The coil of the magnet is being fixed by compound resin with excellent heat conductivity coefficient. The magnet core circuit is made from low carbon steel with a high magnetic permeability.
To increase the lifetime of the magnet, rectifier panel is equipped with a PLC to monitor the inside temperature and duty factor of magnet and monitors current of the magnet to protect the panel against output short-circuit accidents.
The accessory equipment includes common spreader beam, battery charger with battery backup rack, cable reel, suspension chains and power supply socket. MAG Group supplies special RTL lifting magnets, which are usable for the handling of hot temperature loads (600°C) and could be equipped to special pole shoes to increase the effective length of the magnet for the handling of billets or thin sheets.
